Faith Community Church offers hands on ministry training experience through internship and practicum opportunities. Work side by side with ministry leaders and discern your gifts and calling in the context of vocational ministry. When you leave this program you will receive valuable feedback to help grow your ministry skills long term, a letter of recommendation (commensurate with your final performance evaluation), and a stipend to contribute to living expenses. Our flexible schedule can allow you to work remotely and travel to our campuses once or twice per week. Partnering with us for your practicum means you get school credit and the benefit of a paid practicum internship.
Note: Practicum opportunities available only for those receiving college credit.
•Experience the “behind the scenes” of ministry by helping to plan and execute events.
•Collaborate with other members of the family ministry team across two campuses.
•Prepare and teach lessons to students and get individualized coaching and feedback.
•Coaching and mentoring from ministry veterans.
“I’ve learned a lot about practical, relational, and authentic student ministry through direct, hands-on experience. I’ve also learned about what goes on behind the scenes, and have gained lifelong skills through that. I’m so thankful for this opportunity, and I know that I’ll get to use all that I learned in my future career in youth ministry.” -Adam Gardner, Student Ministry Intern, Summer 2018
“…the highlight of this internship didn’t lie in the job description but in the guidance and mentorship I received from my supervisor, along with the rest of the church staff. Because of their genuine investment in my journey, this internship provided not just an opportunity to grow professionally but more so, an opportunity to grow spiritually.” -Haley Batchelder, Student Ministry Intern, Summer 2017
“Interning at Faith Community Church gave me the opportunity to grow as a professional in ministry as well as a leader and person overall.” -Colleen McBride, Young Adult Ministry Intern, Summer 2018
